Our story
We were married at the fairly young ages of 18 and 22 years. We thought our love was all we needed to have that perfect, blissful marriage you read about in storybooks! We obviously had a lot of growing up to do! Looking back over our 34 years of life together, we can see that it is the Lord who has been our anchor every step of the way. Whenever you place two people together, there will inevitably be challenges resulting in conflict. We were taught growing up to stand by our family, that you win by fighting for one another rather than against. As we grieved over the many families being torn apart by divorce, we decided we wanted to help hurting couples find healing and restoration in their relationships. During our training at Caring for the Heart (CFTH), we discovered that we had growing to do in our relationship as well. God met with us through Caring for the Heart and brought healing to our relationship in areas that we believed we just needed to cope with. We had set out to help others and God blessed us! We would be so excited to mentor you in how you too can meet with the Lord through prayer and find healing. He cares about your hurts, fears and loneliness; He truly desires to set you free from strongholds of addiction; and it
would be our pleasure to lead you in finding freedom.
Only Jesus
Many things can cause us to hide our hearts. In my case it was pain caused by neglect, rejection, physical illness and my own sin. During prayer, the Lord brought this picture to mind of what He was doing to my heart. I had been a Christian for a long time and I knew Jesus was the answer. I just didn't know how to find healing. Through the ministry of CFTH, I finally learned how to go to the Lord for healing. This is a picture of what He desires to do to your heart as well. Only Jesus can heal the brokenhearted!
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Model of Mentoring
Our desire is to assist couples and individuals in identifying and solving the issues they are facing in their lives and relationships. We believe the Scriptures are the blueprint on how to reach this goal. Sadly, today many either don't know how to or have given up on finding freedom from their problems and are instead settling for coping techniques. The Father never intended for us to struggle through life feeling lost and defeated, so He sent the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth.
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14:2
